THANKS, MIKE
Hi Mike,
I am a former brat and then I was in the military (Vietnam era) I was the son of an Army Engineer (Capt) and I was in the infantry and later communications (much safer). Your book has obviously touched a nerve with us all. It is a great book. I have recommended it to all my friends who have military backgrounds and those who do not just for the love and humanity in it.
So much of your book parallels my own life and even after dad left the military, he saw the need for constant moves up to my high school time and then he kept moving but only now within the same school district so that my high school days were the happiest of my life. I actually knew kids longer than 9 months or less and they even knew I had a name. Thanks so much for writing your book and sharing such a great time in your life.

Hi Mike,
Just wanted you to know I received my book last night and read the first chapter and found it laugh out loud funny! Plus its like a flashback into the era of time that had more effect on my life than any other. I remember my Dad kicking the paperboy out of our yard because he had a Beatles haircut, which of course happened to be one of the cutest and most popular boys in school! Needless to say my peers teased me mercilessly! Anyway thanks for writing the the book. I cant wait to finish it this weekend.

Mike, loved your book! The eerie thing about it is we lived in parallel universes. We're the same age;I'm an Army Brat, though. When you were living in Ramstein I was in Mainz(went to H.H.Arnold in Wiesbaden).I had a '59 VeeDub,
also. ...same parent battles, drunken debauchery"downtown" and generally having a blast in Germany in the late '60s' and early 70s'.Thanks for bringing back memories!
